Who wears their jeans/tee combo better – Saif or John? This could be an easy choice since John kept his simple and he doesn’t have that scruffy beard or dirty bandana. But on the other hand, he did keep it simple, aka, he kept it the same as he always does. It almost seems like a uniform, a uniform with no creativity. Saif at least chose a graphic tee and cool cowboy boots but John still wins by a hair, literally speaking, since I detest that scruff and overgrown haircut on Saif. Next time though Johnny boy, you can’t skate through on looks alone

Vision in White November 19, 2009
Sweet, simple, chic. All words to describe this lovely white churidhar. Even better that Sonali kept it minimal with no accessories and simple hair and makeup. You like?
Another Signature Style November 19, 2009
First it was the repetitious anarkali after anarkali, but now it seems like Vidya has changed it up. Not too drastically though ‘coz now she’s perfected wearing kurtas over jeans. I see this as the next type of outfit that she’s going to be wearing to many future events. Alas but it is an ugly one! She seems to be repeating the shoes too. Too bad it’s not a pretty shoe.
Someone Up for Riding November 19, 2009
When I say riding, I mean horseback riding ‘coz the bottom half of this outfit looks like jodhpurs and boots suited up for a gallop around the field. But the top half of the outfit looks more suited for a business interview. Neither works well for Aishwarya and the cameltoe’s not helping either. Blech.
It’s the Pits! November 17, 2009
No your eyes don’t deceive you; those are some sweaty armpits! Someone ought to tell Tusshar to use deodorant religiously. I feel bad for the poor girls standing next to him; see the grimace on one of them!
On an Aside November 17, 2009
For my UK readers, here’s an upcoming fashion show taking place on November 22, 2009.
Genesis Colors Brings “MAYA” Collection to London
‘Showcases the Latest F/W 09 Lines by Satya Paul & Deepika Gehani’
November 22 sees the arrival of the “MAYA” collection by two of India’s finest designers – Satya Paul and Deepika Gehani, to showcase their Fall Winter 09 collections at the beautiful Mint Leaf Restaurant & Bar in Londons West End.
Celebrating 25 years of globally acclaimed excellence in design, Satya Paul presents the latest in its exquisite line for Autumn Winter 09 – ‘Maya’.
Maya is illusion. The inspiration behind the Maya collection is this ‘illusory’ world. This illusory life is portrayed by the use of colors on the fabric as if refracted through a prism.
Maya is all about color! It is Satya Paul’s way to court glamour and fantasy in the form of colorful patterns on saris and garments. With a deft, use of pattern and color, a beautiful collection of easy to wear pieces make up Maya… ornamental designs, layers, shadows and contrasting elements render Maya a bold graphic look.
Since its birth in 1985, the Satya Paul look is a strong interplay of patterns and colour that the New York Times has hailed as ‘works of Kinetic Art’. The label’s look is distinguished and identifiable on the street. Having re-invented the traditional sari as a modern classic, the Satya Paul product line also comprises of western clothing, including scarves, bags, men’s accessories and fabrics, as well as an entire range of classic bridal wear. Satya Paul recently launched its ‘Signature’ couture line and a diffusion line ‘Satya’ by Satya Paul.
DEEPIKA GEHANI
Deepika has been creating exquisite pieces since the last decade and has focused a lot on her creations being stylish and sexy. Striking the perfect balance between feminine and glamorous, this new collection by her takes its inspiration from the Traditional Indian Saree. very much in keeping with the India revival that the world is currently seeing.
Traditional yet trendy, the collection personifies the character of the modern Indian woman who has adapted to the western lifestyle, yet is deeply rooted to her Indian culture and ethos. The Gossamer Tulle drapes are solely inspired from the cuts and silhouettes of the Saree. The dress with the skirt really close fitted around the waist and the hips and then flared at the bottom, fitted with the extension of the ‘pallu’- shoulder drapes is not only extremely flattering to the India body types, but also emphasises the Indian flavour.
