How lovely! Two feuding wanna-be divas have kissed and made up when given the chance to add another film, variety show, promotional event to their kitty. So we see Koena and Tanushree attending the Sahara Star conference and hamming it up for the cameras. Koena’s ensemble would have looked cute had it not been for the ‘chia-pet’ like growth on her tee-shirt. She should also stay away from the plastic surgery for a while! On the other hand, Tanushree has used the old-fashioned way of looking svelte: exercise and great contouring makeup. We also like the cazh look, kudos! Also ladies, put the cell phones away; that’s what pockets and purses are for.

Menswear trend December 31, 2007
There is the right wear to wear the menswear trend, aka the vest, and the wrong way. This is the wrong way. Bipasha should have added a white tee at the very least to break up the monotony of the black and to showcase the cute, little vest. The pants should have also been more slim at the leg so they didn’t bunch up so unappealing at the edges of the boots.

Daboo Ratani’s 2008 Calendar December 29, 2007

Ace Bollywood photographer Daboo Ratani previewed his 2008 calendar, which included 24 Bollywood actors. My first question is: where are the Bollywood actresses? How come the women were excluded from his calendar?
Of the pictures, my favorites were Shiney Ahuja and Upen Patel’s pictures; both had movement, intensity and visual interest. The worst were Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures. Poor Salman, he looked like a lost farmer sitting on his bale of hay, while Shah Rukh’s was typical Khan style – vain and self-absorbed. Couldn’t they have done something different with Shah Rukh? It would have been more interesting had his image been juxtaposed in a crowd of faces but still stood out. On a side note, Salman Khan reminds me of Joey’s character from Friends.
