Teen Diva Finals?!? March 31, 2008

First of all, what the heck is the Teen Diva Finals competition? Do we want to encourage teens to be divas and worst of all, compete to see who can be the biggest diva? Hmm…something is wrong here but enough with my ranting, let’s get to the good stuff.

Upen and Sophie were among the judges for the Teen Diva Finals competition and this is what they wore. Apparently they were in competition with each other to see who can wear the most jewelry. Upen looks laughable in all his leather and jeweled getup; he’s also looking a little beefcakey. On the other hand, Sophie looks somewhat cute; if only she hadn’t chosen to overload on all the accessories, this would have been a not-so-bad outfit.

Reader Offering – Aishwarya Rai March 30, 2008

Our blog reader Maya provided us with this latest image of Ash at a recent book signing. We have to agree that this is the plainest outfit we’ve seen her in so far. Why does she always veer towards pink and flowers these days? She doesn’t look anything like the star she is supposed to be, just a nice, homely housewife.

Celina Jaitley March 30, 2008

Not many women can wear head-to-toe white and still look reed thin. But Celina carries it off, even with the slightly tacky and large medallion embroidery. She knows what looks good on her and she sticks to it, namely the color white. Everything about this picture is stunning, including her makeup and hair…with the exception of the scrunchy around her bun. That detracts from the look a bit but otherwise, she’s gorgeous.

Two different events, two different outfits but the penchant for flowery choices remained the same. In which outfit did Aishwarya look better? Eeeeh neither! The black and white dress is too loud and the print is overwhelming. I like that she tried to throw a pop of color but the round-toe shoes were too business-y for this outfit. The second outfit is not too bad but its not great either. Something about it is too staid and grandmotherly; maybe the high, ruffled collar. What do you say readers?

This is quite a trendy look for Amrita but a little color, perhaps some makeup, or a bold accessory could have gone a long way. I would have opted for these L.A.M.B shoes instead of the ones she wore.

Flawless! Mallaika looks electrifying in this Surily Goel creation, which was just showcased at the WLIFW 2008. If we could all look this way after having two kids!. But then again, she does have all the time in the world to exercise and fitness train and not have to worry about little details like a job. Source

With the exception of the shiny object on the neckline, this is a simple yet gorgeous outfit. Karishma’s seen wearing the fish-scale trend, which seems to be quite popular these days. This is one classy lady who pulls off simplistic elegance in both Western and Indian outfits. Kudos!
