When it rains it pours. Case in point – I’ve had 14 new posts just over the last 15 hours. Bollywood sure has been busy over the past day, which is good news for us fellow bloggers as it gives us enough material to comment on. I remember when I first started this blog that there weren’t many similar blogs out there. And with it being just my sister and I as commentators of this blog, we can’t possibly cover it all. Which is why I was happy to see a few other fashion blogs pop up, namely the Tollywood Fashion Police, which focuses on the styles of South Indian filmi stars. Check it out readers and do let me know if you find other noteworthy blogs.

Tabu is a talented actress with a horrible sense of style (except when she’s dressed in Indian outfits). We hate this dress-over-jeans combo. Ok hate might be a bit harsh; let’s put it this way, we’d opt to put her in a potato sack, clown shoes and a big red nose rather than seeing this fugly combo again!
Shilpa on Cineblitz May 30, 2008
While I liked Shilpa’s dress on the Verve magazine cover, I’m not very keen on her dare-to-bare act on Cineblitz’s June 2008 cover. Is there such a thing as tastefully tarted up? Unless this was a bikini shoot for the beach, the outfit was simply too much (or rather, very little) for my taste. Inside, Shilpa doesn’t fare much better in a purple tie-dye halter dress. Something about it screams desperation.

She’s everywhere these days! First Vogue and now Preity’s on the June 2008 Filmfare cover. Personally, I think she looks better on our Indian magazine, filmi ishtyle rather than the blah looking Vogue cover. But readers, feel free to disagree

Reader Offering – Kiran and Aamir May 30, 2008
Fellow blogger Sowjanya provided us this picture of Kiran and hubby Aamir. These two are no fashionistas and nor do they care; that’s what we love about them! They are just too quirky, independent and hippie-ish enough to pull of a laissez faire attitude. Alas, it makes it harder for us to comment and snicker at when we have slight admiration for them. I must say though I love Kiran’s eyeglasses; it’s such a fun shape and it suits her face.

Hallelujah! Thank heavens for small miracles. For once Sophie is not wearing eye-gouging studded tops or saccharin-sweet prom dresses. She actually looks her age (a mature 32 I’m sure) in this simple yet figure hugging black dress. She followed the KISS (keep it simple stupid) mantra and kept it simple. Kudos!

Fellow blogger Shilpa, provided us this image of Ayesha wearing yet another maxi dress. She’s worn one before and although this one is waaay better than her previous choice, it is still a style that does not suit this petite and busty star. Like I said before and I’ll say it again, it just makes her look overly top heavy, like she’ll keel over from all the weight up there. Poor gal!
