Harman and Mandira June 29, 2008

Only a few posts to his name (on this blog), but there seems to be fashion hope yet for Harman. He turns up at the Indo American Chamber of Commerce Awards in a subtly pinstriped gray suit. Wish he had thrown out the tie and the black athletic sneakers, and added some color with a contrasting shirt instead. But there’s hope! I can’t say the same for Mandira who pulls out a not so bad saree but for once, I wish she had worn a short sleeve blouse or even a sleeveless blouse. Lady, enough already with the full exposure!

Repeat Offender! June 29, 2008

Priyanka must be reading this blog and heeding our advice but only slightly. In an earlier post, we had said to basically lose the orthopedic shoes and granny hose. So she did just that and instead replaced it with ashy knees and tacky red shoes that don’t even match the outfit she choose to repeat. The final nail in the coffin was the dress itself in a not-so-flattering brown color, which we didn’t like then and don’t like still. *Sigh* When will these ladies really listen?

Hard Kaur June 27, 2008

I’m not a big fan of this lady but I have to give props to Hard Kaur for pulling out the Spring 2008 trend of the season – the toga dress. Remember when Katie Holmes wore hers to the 2008 Critics Choice Awards? It didn’t quite look right on her. But who could forget Gwyneth Paltrow at Cannes 2008 in her Lanvin toga dress and towering gladiator platforms? Done right, this look makes a woman look every bit the goddess that she is. So kudos to Hard Kaur for being the first on the Bollywood circuit to wear this tricky trend. I wish she had worn some gladiator shoes though (a la Sophie).

If ya got it, flaunt it! June 27, 2008

Or so seems to be Neha’s motto. Can’t fault the girl for showing off her hump and lady lumps. We like the buttercream yellow color of the dress, like the cute clutch also, and although the shoes are not the greatest, we salute the play on metallics.

This is a marked improvement for Sonali, who (poor thing) manages to look horrible in sarees and in non-Indian wear! Not sure who this girl is but she was spotted her at the Via Darjeeling premiere looking lovely and radiant in a cream colored frock. The frock has a very interesting design to it and although a tad bit too long, it looks lovely on her. Kudos!
