Sonam’s appearance at Cannes is always fraught with anticipation. Did she hit it out of the park this time? Afraid not. While the blue Ralph and Russo gown was red-carpet worthy, the heavy hair swept over the neckline was suffocating the look. The neckline begged to be shown off with an updo or a sleek ponytail. The makeup was also too heavy for this look.
Her second red-carpet appearance saw her looking like Big Bird. Big Bird with flawless makeup, sleek hairdo and gorgeous jewelry. The Elie Saab Spring 2015 greenish / yellow gown with feathers was doing nothing for her. Granted, she took a risk and I applaud her for that but she looked 100 times better in her Ashi Studio gown worn at the Vikas Khanna book launch.
This Ashi Studio gown is one of many delicious gowns that I’d love to wear. Around the house. While changing a dirty diaper. Yes, I lead a very glamorous life dahling!
