Richa Chadda at Cannes

While Ash, Kat, and Sonam were getting all the press for their attendance at Cannes, another actress quietly picked up accolades for her upcoming movie ‘Masaan’ and also impressed us with her sartorial choices. Whether in a Sabyasachi saree or a Giles strapless dress or a Gauri and Nainika soft-pink architectural gown, she more thanContinue reading “Richa Chadda at Cannes”

Glamorous Gowns

Both lovely ladies looked statuesque in vibrant gowns but while Asin picked one with barely there straps, Chitrangada’s was covered to the neck up.  This go around I have to give to Asin as her’s is a better fit and overall better gown.  Chitrangada’s gown would have looked a whole lot better had the bustContinue reading “Glamorous Gowns”

More Gowns

If Sonam started a trend with her bridal gown, these ladies followed suit with their own gowns for the ‘Jab Tak Hain Jaan’ premiere.  Alas, none bowled me over but Bipasha came somewhat close.  I think the shoes threw it off for me.

Birthday Bash

Karan Johar‘s 40th birthday bash seemed to be the hottest ticket in town with every big name Bollywood celebrity in attendance.  Damn, I think my invite got lost in the mail.  Since there were way too many celebs to do individual posts on, I thought I’d do a one word or one sentence summary ofContinue reading “Birthday Bash”

Shruti on Elle

It’s nice to see a new face on fashion covers and Elle’s becoming known for that. The January 2010 issue showcases Shruti Hassan in Manish Arora, Gauri Nainika and Rana Gill outfits.

Signature Style

Looks like Gauri and Nainika’s signature style is abundant rosettes on long and short dresses, which done right, would have looked splendid. Alas, the black dresses fail miserably on Bipasha, Genelia and Suzanne. Something about this designer duo’s line also screams ‘inspired’ natch?  Image Source

Best of Lakme Fashion Week

Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2010 just finished and while I usually love to do a day-to-day rundown of my favorites, I found that this year, the pickings were slim (to none!). So instead, I opted to just choose from the designers for anything that remotely caught my interest. Here’s the best (relative) of Lakme FashionContinue reading “Best of Lakme Fashion Week”
